Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) recently launched “FAST ID”, a new service that allows registered professionals to secure their Professional ID after an hour.
"PRC is always looking for ways to improve our service to the public. One year ago, we launched a service that allowed professionals to get their IDs within the day. This year, we tapped the services of TIM Corporation to develop a system to allow us to print Professional IDs a lot faster." says Dr. Leonor Rosero, Chairperson of PRC.
"TIM shares with PRC the mission to deliver excellent services to our country's professionals. Through proven IT solutions and processes, we know we will meet our goals," says Jose Mari Antunez, President and CEO of TIM.
FAST ID is in response to the clamor for faster releasing of Professional IDs. With hundreds of professionals trooping to PRC daily, turn-around-time for ID production has been a cause for concern.
FAST ID eases Professional ID renewal. With the new FAST ID system, professionals can simply come to PRC before they go to work and can expect to get their new IDs within a couple of hours.
"We have an ongoing project to have professionals renew their licenses. One of the concerns our professionals have raised about license renewal is the waiting time for their Professional ID. Launching Fast ID is a testament that PRC listens to the needs of the Filipino Professional," attests Dr. Nilo Rosas, PRC Commissioner.
"We encounter a lot of professional OFWs, specifically from the Middle East who come home to the Philippines only to renew their licenses and then fly back to the Middle East. With this new Fast-ID, they get to spend more time with their loved-ones, instead of queuing at PRC," says Ruth Padilla, PRC Commissioner.
PRC dedicated an exclusive booth for FAST ID, where for an extra fee of P450 on top of the regular licensing fee, professionals can get their new IDs after an hour.
