TIM to Build NCC's E-Government Service Portal

Continuing its tradition of serving the government sector, industry-leader Total Information Management Corp. (TIM) has once again been awarded another contract for a total solution integration project with a government agency. The National Computer Center (NCC), through the Procurement Service (PS) of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), recently signed a deal with TIM for the Design, Development, Establishment, and Hosting of the E-Government Services Portal.
The core objective of the project is build and establish as true citizen-centric, business-friendly, and frontline service-focused E-Government Services Portal. This Internet-based delivery channel is envisioned by NCC to eventually serve as the central hub for all government agencies’ services and information exchange.
“TIM believes in NCC’s vision to be the prime mover in the government in harnessing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as a strategic tool for national development. We are also confident that with this project we are about to undertake, NCC shall successfully carry out its mission of ‘championing the rational and optimal use of ICT in the government for the delivery of public services through innovative solutions’”, says Jose Mari M. Antunez, President and CEO of TIM.

In the near future, every Filipino citizen and business entity needing to avail of any service from the government will have the option to pass through this portal. Electronic transactions with other government agencies such as NSO, DFA, SSS, GSIS, NBI, HDMF, PHIC, and BIR may use this portal as a centralized delivery channel, thus enabling NCC as the frontline for e-government services,” says Angelo Timoteo M. Diaz de Rivera, Director General of NCC.
TIM’s proven experience in delivering integrated solutions, ranging from Data Center provisioning to hardware/software implementation to operations/network management and disaster recovery, all come into the fore in this major IT initiative. The portal shall become the government’s showcase of consolidated Web-based services.
