Continuing its tradition of fostering camaraderie among its valued customers, local IT industry leader Total Information Management Corporation (TIM) recently launched its 16th Annual Friendship Bowling Tournament at the SM Mall of Asia Bowling Center in Pasay City.
With EMC Philippines as co-sponsor, the tournament attracted a record of 30 companies, represented by more than 400 players who braved the rains on opening night.
“We are truly honored to welcome all participating teams this year. We would like to make special mention of the four pioneer teams from Philippine Airlines, PhilAm Life, Philippine National Bank, and United Coconut Planters Bank that have consistently joined this tournament since Year 1,” says Jose Mari Antunez, President and CEO of TIM.
“This tournament has always been a regular fixture in our customers' calendar of major competitions for the past 16 years. The level of competitiveness has also been spiced up by the participation of some players capable of making it to the national team. In fact, it comes as no surprise why some of our new teams have conducted try-outs to make it to this tournament,” adds Antunez.
The 12-week tournament is slated every Thursday night until November 15. The 30 teams who qualified for this year include Asian Terminals, Bancnet, Banco De Oro, Bankard, Bank of Commerce, Bayantel, China Bank, Chinatrust, Coca-Cola Bottlers, Crimson Power Holdings, Eastern Telecom, Generali Pilipinas, International Organization for Migration, KForce Global Solutions, LandBank, Metrobank, PAG-IBIG Fund, Paramount Insurance, Philippine Airlines, PhilAm Life, Philippine National Bank, Philippine Veterans Bank, PS Bank, Planters Bank, Smart Communications, Social Security System, Sun Life of Canada, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, Union Bank of the Philippines, and United Coconut Planters Bank.
